Growing responsibly is in our roots
At Colimones, we understand that producing top-quality fruit is not enough: it is also our duty to care for the land that makes it possible. That’s why we work with sustainable agricultural practices that regenerate the soil, optimize natural resources, and minimize environmental impact.
Everything is put to use
Nothing goes to waste: banana stalks (rachis) and fruit that do not meet commercial standards are returned to the soil as natural fertilizer. This closes the nutrient cycle, improves soil structure, and reduces waste generation.
Microorganisms that bring life to the soil
We enrich our crops with beneficial microorganisms and seaweed that improve soil health, strengthen plants, and reduce the need for chemicals. This biological approach helps create a more balanced and resilient ecosystem.
Compost and organic matter
We apply compost and organic matter as a fundamental part of our fertilization program. This not only nourishes plants naturally, but also improves soil structure, enhances moisture retention, and promotes microbial diversity.
Efficient water use
We use modern irrigation systems that allow us to manage water precisely and responsibly. This optimizes water consumption, reduces waste, and ensures every plant is properly hydrated — even during periods of intense heat.
Our commitment
Sustainability is not just a goal — it is our way of working. At Colimones, we are committed to continuous learning, improvement, and conscious growth, always caring for our land for future generations.
